Virtual Classes are Better Than Physical Classes

Virtual Classes are Better Than Physical Classes

What is a virtual class? A virtual class, also known as an online class, is a class whereby the teacher or instructor teaches through the use of technological devices such as the computer, television or other related devices. The students and teachers do not see physically.

What is a physical class? A physical class is one in which the teacher sees the students he or she is teaching physically.

Arguments for Virtual Learning.

  • More than anything else in history, virtual learning almost became the new normal in many countries of the world. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, students and teachers were locked down in their homes. However, virtual learning provides ample opportunity for students to connect to their teachers and get the best of learning they can.
  • With virtual learning, there's little or no risk of transmission of infection.
  • Virtual learning is easy and almost stress-free. Why? All you need do is sit down in the comfort of your home and hook up online. In addition, you can learn at your own space, pace and time.
  • It provides a good leverage for teachers in the sense that they can save the money, time and energy he or she would have invested in having to drive to a physical classroom.
  • Many people around the world are now embracing virtual learning. It has been estimated that about 55% of people around the world have embraced online classes.
  • It has opened students up to accessing a load of writing help. What do I mean? Students who have dissertation tasks to tackle are now increasingly turning to freelancing platforms to get dissertation help from freelancers who offer dissertation writing services.
  • Virtual learning drastically reduces the problem of child molestation. Unlike a physical class setting where certain corrupt teachers sexually exploit unsuspecting and weak students, such is not the case with the online mode of learning.

Arguments against virtual learning

  • In some countries, virtual learning costs a lot of money. This is because the cost of data is high, and so only a few people can afford it. This therefore hampers learning for the less privileged.
  • Virtual learning does not afford you the opportunity to relate and have interpersonal relationships with other students as it would have been if it was a physical class.
  • Certain courses cannot be taught virtually. A good example of this is somebody who is a student of aeronautic engineering. You cannot learn how to fly doing virtual class, you have to be taught hands-on. Another example is a student of building engineering. You have to do lots of practical stuff in order to become a real building engineer.
  • Learning virtually has a serious health disadvantage. A student who stays with the computer system all day for many days may gain extreme weight. This is definitely not good.
  • There's a high level of tendency to visit pornographic sites. Many times, pornographic pictures and videos pop up unannounced while working on the computer. It is almost impossible for a person not to be lured by it by clicking on it.
